Sometimes the life we have is much closer to the one we’d love than to an ideal we’ll never reach. When we make the next step smaller, the way forward gets clearer.
Book a sessionI don’t hand out ready-made answers or tell you how things “should” be done. I’m not here to judge you. I’m here to be a gentle mirror and something steady to lean on.
When you’re in the middle of your own life, it’s hard to see the whole of it. Therapy helps you step back and see what is really going on.
Therapy is a space between two people where you can show up as you are, with the hard feelings, the doubts and the things you’ve done.
In everyday life we choose our words carefully and adapt to the person in front of us. Here, you don’t have to be easy to deal with. Whatever is going on, this hour is yours.
I didn’t begin in therapy. I began as a screenwriter, and writing scripts taught me to look closely at people: what drives them, how their character takes shape, how they get through life. Later, while making documentaries for the TV channel Psychology 21, that curiosity grew into a wish to do this work properly, as a therapist.
My work draws on theory, but also on my own life: moving to England, building a business, raising three children, a long marriage. I know what it’s like to start over somewhere new, to look for balance, and to stay steady in real life rather than chasing an ideal one.
Looking for yourself, losing your bearings, feeling worn out from living up to other people’s expectations.
When resentment has built up in a relationship and you can’t find a way forward.
When a painful, traumatic experience is still shaping your life and how you feel.
Life crises, moving country, adjusting to new circumstances, and anxiety about the unknown.
